Metro Family Therapy thoroughly endorses the use of talk therapy, but, depending on your struggles, talking may not be enough. The mind-body connection is becoming more vital in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and more. In many cases, we are coming to realize that we must heal the body in order to heal the mind and often vice versa!

This body-centered therapy utilizes body-oriented practices like controlled breathwork, meditation, yoga and even dance in addition to talk therapy. This therapy is meant to help you become aware of how a physical body holds on to stress, tension and trauma so you can come to understand how the body can also release it.

Whether it is in an individual or group setting, our goal at MFT is to free you from any pain and stress that may be preventing you from living your best life.
